Small-batch cannabis cultivation · Santa Cruz Mountains, California

Terra Cruz Farms is an independent home cultivation project rooted in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Built around a 16-year passion for cannabis, the project is focused on organic growing practices, quality genetics, and a hands-on approach to small-craft cultivation.

I grow for my own medical needs and share the process to help others better understand the plant, from seed to harvest. My goal is to make cultivation more accessible, share practical knowledge, and show people that growing their own cannabis can be both rewarding and achievable.

IS IT LEGAL?

California gives adults 21 and older the right to grow up to six cannabis plants per residence for personal use, subject to state and local regulations. Here in Santa Cruz, home growing is legal too. You should always check for additional local rules depending on the county / city you reside in.

Terra Cruz Farms is a personal home cultivation and educational project. No cannabis or cannabis infused products are offered for sale through this website or its content. All cultivation documented is for personal use only. Content is intended for educational and informational purposes and is not intended to promote or facilitate the sale or distribution of cannabis.

  • Our approach to growing

Organic-minded cultivation is at the heart of Terra Cruz Farms. I prioritize healthy growing media, responsible inputs, environmental control, and a better understanding of how plants respond throughout their life cycle. Rather than relying on shortcuts, I focus on building healthy plants and refining the process with every grow.

For me, small-craft cultivation means staying connected to every stage of production. Each plant receives individual attention, and every harvest is an opportunity to improve. The focus is on quality, consistency, and understanding what makes each cultivar unique.

  • Genetics & the plant

Choosing genetics is one of the most interesting parts of growing. I'm drawn to cultivars with distinctive terpene profiles, diverse effects, interesting lineage, and unique growing characteristics. From uplifting, energetic varieties to deeply relaxing indicas, I enjoy exploring the diversity of cannabis and learning what each plant brings to the table.

Beyond the finished flower, I'm interested in the science behind cultivation — plant development, environmental management, VPD, terpene expression, and the techniques that influence the final result. That curiosity drives the experiments I share and the decisions I make in the garden.

  • Bringing the grow back home

You don't need a commercial facility to learn how to cultivate quality cannabis. With the right information, a suitable setup, and a willingness to learn, home growers can develop the skills to grow for themselves.

Through Terra Cruz Farms, I document the real process: selecting genetics, germinating seeds, managing the grow environment, troubleshooting problems, and working through harvest, drying, and curing. I share what works, what doesn't, and the lessons that come with each run.

For those who use cannabis for medical reasons, home cultivation can also offer a more personal connection to the plant and greater involvement in how their own supply is grown.
